Arrive in the historic town of Alhama for a welcome meeting and bike set. This is where we are based permanently all year around so you can be assured of a friendly welcome! Enjoy an afternoon warm up ride around small villages into the National Park to get used to riding the smooth, good grade tarmac.

After a fine breakfast, start the day ascending from a valley bottom to see views of the snow-capped Sierra Nevadas. Pass by a shimmering lake before stopping for your (first) coffee of the day at the local cyclists´ favourite cafe. Spin through asparagus fields before climbing to the picturesque sighted village of Montefrio, its castle and church hanging spectacularly from the rock-side.

Enter the land of olive groves and ancient Moorish watchtowers from the hilltops. Cycle past white washed farm buildings and sun-drenched landscapes before finishing the day in the classic baroque town of Priego where churches, fountains and hidden alleys combine. Try the world famous olive oil of the area or the local aniseed drink as you relax by the swimming pool of your beautiful 4 star hotel.

Option: extend your stay here to take a rest day or explore the area by yourself (Priego is a fascinating town, or venture into the nearby Subbetica National Park).

Another exceptional day of road cycling awaits as we ride through the tranquil countryside. Ups and downs are abundant as you pass through farming villages and tranquil hamlets. Spend the night at Iznajar, a white village with an impressive castle set high above a lake with 360 views overlooking the finest Andalucian olive groves - a real delight.
