Our Quiet Paths tour is all about giving yourself a break. Ok, there is still some cycling to do and it isn´t flat terrain, but your hotels for the evening will make it all worthwhile and are certainly going to please - their quality speaks for themselves.
This tour features accommodation which will allow you to dream of Aladdin’s cave and Andalusian delights in tranquillity. A countryside tour for the majority of nights, the places visited are without doubt, impressionable. Stay in Alhama´s favourite hideaway, La Seguiriya, run by Lola and Paco, a well known Flamenco singer, and which is built into the ancient limestone of the town. With views out to the peaceful gorge, where dragonflies flit in the afternoon, it is a wonderful place to set the glass of wine and prop the book up.
Move on to Montefrio, the sister town and take in the town´s precariously perched church before moving upwards into the olive groves where the lovely Cortijo Farmhouse of La Fe is nestled. Dominique and Richard have decorated this place with passion and love and the geometric design of Moroccan rugs and copper tables exude an air of the former Al-Andalus. Their hot baths, beautifully styled, are an absolute delight to while away the time in and the outdoor pool takes in the expanse of the noble olive trees which surround the hillsides.
Move on to the bustling city of Granada, where past civilizations made home, and the Moorish palace presides still. Your attractive hotel, a 4 star hotel close to the River Genil which springs from its sierra summit, features soothing spa waters if you wish as well as an outdoor pool, to float those tired muscles, and where you can doze dreaming of castanets, caliphates and of course cycle touring.

"Quiet Paths - Oct 2016" We did want to let you know that our cycling trip was a highlight from our trip to Spain. We really felt we saw more 'real Spain' during those 5 days rather than 'tourist Spain’ of the remainder of our time. Thank you!
P.& S. Irving, Alberta, CAN
"Quiet Paths - Oct 2016!" Just wanted to drop a line and tell you how much we enjoyed the ride. Everything went smoothly, we enjoyed the choice of accommodation. Especially like our stay in Alhama. Thank you for everything and we would certainly recommend others to take one of your trips. Cheers! .

"Quiet Paths - Oct 2016!" Just wanted to thank you for the support you provided on our cycling trip in Andalusia. Mike and I had a great time and really enjoyed the routes and inns. We’ll keep you in mind if we get to Spain or near by in the future.
K. and M. Wilson, New York, USA
"Thanks for lovely quiet paths! We had a really great time and we appreciate the way you had arranged everything! From the very beginning we got picked up and had a nicer trip to Alhama than with bus. We had no problem, we felt you took care of everything! And the roads were really quiet, not so much traffic. We also liked the houses where we lived, Paco´s and of course Cortijo la Fe with the very charming Dominique! It was so special, and we felt so VIP!
We also liked the nature where we biked, every day was special, not like the day before, and we saw a lot beautiful, and a lot interesting, we heard lots and lots of birds. The notes were good, especially the last day guided us directly to the hotel without problems. So we are grateful and very satisfied with our vacation. Perhaps it would be even better if we studied a little spanish before we come next:) Thank you, once again, and perhaps it will be more cycling in Spain!"
Monica & Stig, Finland
I just wanted to thank you guys again for putting together a wonderful trip for us to take while we were in your beautiful little corner of the world. The self-guided tour was exactly the kind of thing we were looking for.”
David & Donna, Virginia, USA
I was a little nervous of joining one of your tours having not cycled much for a while, but couldn't have been more wrong. You gave a me a warm welcome and I felt safe on my bike knowing support was never far away."
Roberta DeLose, London, England
"Just a quick note to say a very big thank you for our holiday earlier this month. The whole holiday was just what we wanted – the bikes, the route, the food and hotels all superb. We were all really knocked out by the well chosen routes, your personal attention to detail and superb support. We were also really impressed at how welcoming the locals were despite our non-existent Spanish. So many thanks."
Dick Gill, Jackie and Alex Burman, Aberlady, Scotland
"Just a little note say thanks for a fabulous time travelling through Alhama de Granada. It was such a great experience made special by you both. So many thanks. I hope all goes well with the business and we hope to see you again soon."
