Choosing the right holiday for you is the first part of the fun of a cycling trip. We´ve categorised our tours into 2 different types to make life a little easier in choosing your guided or self-led tour.
1) Discovery Tours: With the most important monuments, sights and famous towns visited, these tours are a full cultural and gastronomic immersion to a country and are suitable for both hybrid and road bikers. The routes aim to show you the best of the area, with an emphasis on experiencing local traditions and customs.
Our Fully Guided and Supported Discovery Tours include 2 tour leaders (usually involving at least 1 company owner), with 1 leader riding as a cycling guide and the other driving the SAG (support) van. The van seldom leaves the group, enabling riders to enjoy all the refreshments they need or part way transfers if a rest is required. The routes are designed for all levels to enjoy and are suitable for hybrid and road bike riders. See each tour for scheduled dates.
Our flagship Moorish Andalusia tour through Southern Spain will take you on an unforgettable journey from the majestic city of Seville to Granada via timeless Cordoba. This is where we live permanently all year around and take great pleasure in showing you our home. If you are looking to explore the same famous cities, but with a more Easy Going route, take a peak at the relaxing Olive Trails. For those that want to broaden their enjoyment of Iberia, we have an exciting route across the whole of Portugal, starting in Lisbon and touring Romantic Alentejo, staying in luxury medieval castles and hilltop fortresses to your heart’s content. Or if you feel like joining us on a leisurely ride through typical English countryside, come and try our summer Cotswolds Cream Tea tour. An historic pedal from Oxford to Bath via quaint village greens, country pubs and picture postcard towns. Pint of beer anyone?
With freedom to explore and independence on the road, our Self Guided Discovery Tours allow the cyclists to create their own adventure. With luggage transferred daily and a 24 hour support contact, you can focus on enjoying the great cycling at a date to suit. With accommodation and route notes included, try a relaxing break along Quiet Paths surrounding the hill towns of Alhama de Granada and Montefrio, or the classic Granada to Ronda route on our White Villages of Al-Andalus.
2) Classic Road: If challenging miles are your thing, then these tours are for you. Longer miles over hillier terrain, these routes are designed for road bike cyclists only. The Cycling Country team has years of experience in road cycling and has a passion for the sport and open road. With both racing and touring cyclists part of the team, we know what it takes to put together a great tour.
Choose one of our Fully Guided and Supported Classic Road Tours where you can take on some of the great climbs of the area, but with the comfort of a guide and support van. Challenge yourself on our NEW Signature Climbs Series where you can opt to ride the famous ascents of The South or The North of Spain. Both of these are crammed full of the classic mountain passes, with the South heading up the highest road in Europe and the North up the toughest climb in Europe - take your pick. This is the best road cycling in Spain.

If you want to see the pros of today up close and personal, join our Vuelta a España Special where you get to ride some of the stages and enjoy the best viewing spots and race information. With VIP access and insiders knowledge, we work closely with the Vuelta organisers to arrange your trip of a lifetime. We are an official Vuelta operator - accept no imitations!
For those wanting flexibility, select a Self Guided Classic Road Tour, where your luggage is transfered and route notes provided - all you have to do is ride! For the more experienced rider, we have the Lakes, Mountains & Sea route which takes in the Lake District, National Parks and hilltop villages of Andalucia, with a finish down on the Mediterranean. For those training for a sportive or Etap du Tour, or just want to ride without moving on every day, select our Fixed or Dual Base Cycle Training Tour, where we can customise distances and itineraries. Based in our home village of Alhama, with an added option to be based in Granada to ride the highest paved road in Europe in the Sierra Nevadas, these routes are the reason we are here! Or for a coastal option, try the Cycle Training 2 Tour which skims the Mediterranean before heading into the coastal mountains. The open road awaits.

Don’t stress, we make life simple
Whether it is a short escape to recharge the batteries or a longer break to get away from it all Cc caters for it. Our fully supported tours mean just that, not a van you might see once a day, but it is a constant companion, providing a cold drink or snack break, chance to drop your sweater off, grab a look in the bird book or just give a friendly thumbs up.
We also design Custom Tours for friends or clubs, corporate weekends, school groups, Charity Cycling Events and Day Trips. Just contact us with any requests. We are flexible enough to tailor individual bike trips for all cycling levels, budgets and dates. No worries of booking hotels, finding restaurants, lugging luggage or transporting a bike – want a bike tour based entirely on the theme of Castles, Music or Trains? – Just ask! Cc does it all for you in order that you can concentrate on enjoying the scenery and discover the country.

As well, daily options are given for those keen to test themselves further.
