A Travel Update Due to Coronavirus (Covid-19)
01 April 2021
Updated Cancellation Terms to Help with the Difficult Travel Circumstances
Due to the Coronavirus, we have amended our cancellation policies for all new bookings from 01 April 2021 (for postponed or previous bookings, see terms at time of booking). We aim to reassure all our guests with new flexible and fair terms to help you make important travel decisions. Our focus is to allow you to:
– Postpone your bike tour to a later date, with no penalty, as described below.
– Eliminate or minimize your risk of facing cancellation fees, if booking a bike tour with us.
We are offering a more relaxed policy with refunds and credits for tours for any COVID related disruption, rather than full cancellation penalties, and options to transfer your bike tour to a later date, if necessary.
Credits are valid for bookings made for 2 years (24 months) from any cancellation date, allowing you to also book for 2022 and 2023 tours, giving you time to successfully postpone a trip (see terms below).
For our self-guided South Spain bike tours we have changed our balance due date and allow cancellation 7 days before the start date with no penalty and a full refund, as described below. A “no quibble, risk free” guarantee.
Our goal is to provide you with the flexibility to make an informed decision in these challenging times.
With the roll-out of the vaccination and PCR testing available, traveling safely again and getting back to ‘normality’ is real. Our new policy offers you the chance to plan now.
Being a local tour operator, we appreciate how trying this situation is for everyone with this affecting all communities worldwide, yours and ours. The knock-on consequences to our local communities (family run hotels, restaurants, support staff etc) is difficult and so we are offering these options. We are currently adding extra dates to our tour schedule for this year and 2022 to offer even more options to enjoy cycling in the near future.
The safety of our guests and teams are always our highest concern and we are working hard to react and adapt to this fast-moving situation. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we maintain a policy of being responsive to all concerned.
We have been operating cycling holidays for nearly 20 years and have successfully weathered previous world and financial crises. We look forward to continuing to offer our bike tours in the coming years.
Are Cycling Country Tours Running?
We continue to monitor the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the local government agencies for all countries we visit. We take advice from these sources and act accordingly.
Currently, tours are running, as advertised. Please check current travel regulations with your country of origin. We will contact all booked guests to provide further details about alternative arrangements and options if necessary.
We will make evaluations about additional future tour suspensions as required.
Keeping you Safe on our Tours
We are providing advice to our tour leaders and guides so they can be vigilant about potential exposure to the virus for our guests and themselves. They are aware of the symptoms and the current protective measures.
We will cancel or amend trips if required to ensure your safety, and will contact you to offer alternative options.

Should I Travel?
Our advice is that each guest’s decision on whether to travel is their own. While we are happy to answer questions, inform and share updates from health authorities, we recommend that before you travel:
• consult your own medical doctor if you have any doubts about your health and risk profile
• obtain guidance from your country’s travel advisory service
• understand the current travel regulations and documentation (health certificates) required to travel
• check with your travel insurance company to see what is covered regarding travel and medical insurance in respect to Coronavirus. Policies are adapting as the situation develops.
Please contact us to clarify any of our policies or any doubts / questions you may have.
Let’s all keep healthy and we look forward to the open road once again.
